About us
Vertex Accounting was founded in 2018 by Jason Park after spending six years inside Austin's SaaS ecosystem. He saw firsthand how broken accounting was for fast-moving tech companies — delayed closes, investor packages that took days to assemble, tax surprises that could have been avoided.
We built Vertex to be the accounting partner those companies deserved: cloud-native, remote-first, and staffed by people who understand SaaS metrics, equity compensation, and investor expectations.
Today we serve over 100 clients across the US — from pre-revenue startups preparing for their seed round to Series B companies managing multi-state tax obligations.

Founder & CEO
Jason spent six years as a controller at Austin-based SaaS companies before founding Vertex in 2018. He specializes in revenue recognition and equity compensation accounting.
Director of Tax
Alicia leads our tax practice with expertise in multi-state compliance and R&D tax credits. She previously worked at a Big Four firm's technology practice.
Financial Analyst
David builds the financial models and dashboards that keep our clients' CFOs and boards aligned. He holds an MBA from UT Austin.
